A BRADFORD man has appeared in court charged with stealing a number of items from city shops including socks, toothbrushes and chicken drumsticks.
Paul Darracott, 56, of Atherstone Road, was given a community order, ordered to pay £86 compensation for stealing two electric toothbrushes and eight pairs of socks, worth a total of £86, from Freddies, Tyrell Street, Bradford, on June 9, 2021.
He was ordered to pay £70 compensation for stealing two electric toothbrushes, worth £70, from Freddies, Tyrell Street, Bradford, on June 10, 2021.
Darracott was ordered to pay £60.51 compensation for stealing two chilli chicken drumsticks, six Ariel three in one pods, tropical liquid and Fairy non-bio pods, worth a total of £60.51, from McColls, Allerton Road, Bradford, on July 1, 2021.
On June 10, 2021 and June 9, 2021, he also breached a criminal behaviour order by, without reasonable excuse, entering Bradford city centre which he was prohibited from doing by a criminal behaviour order made by Bradford & Keighley Magistrates’ Court on November 13, 2018.
Under the terms of his new community order, Darracott must comply with the following requirements by October 19, 2021: Curfew Requirement with Electronic Monitoring: Be under a curfew for two months with electronic monitoring, which started on August 20, 2021 and runs from 7pm to 7am daily.
Darracott, who pleaded guilty to all charges, appeared at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates’ Court on August 20, 2021.
