WE asked T&A readers to send in photos of your dogs - and you didn't disappoint.
We have had so many photos of pooches coming in that we're going to feature them on our regular pets page over coming weeks.
Here are the beloved dogs in today's photo gallery:
Ned the Sprocker Spaniel was adopted by Chloe Bateman of Skipton: "Ned chose us to be his third and final forever hone. He has so much affection and love to give it's hard to believe we are his third owners. Ned has his own personality that makes us laugh and cry most days, he calms you down when needed, shows you love and most of all gives lots of hugs and licks.
"Ned got carried away rolling in some grass near the canal, unfortunately he rolled too far and ended up going for a swim in the canal. This is him in the bath when we got home."
Shandy is a much-missed crossbreed. "Sadly he had to be put to sleep in April of this year due to tumours on his liver," said owner Cliff Martin. "We had Shandy from 12-weeks-old and he was 12 nearly 13 when he left us. Over his last five years he had developed diabetes and also went blind. We still miss him every day, as do the rest of our family. A true family pet. Gone but remembered affectionately."
Bailey came from Leeds Dogs Trust. "He's full of energy and loves the grandkids," says owner Ray Illingworth of Wrose. "Here he's pictured having 10 minutes after a run on the beach."
Bobbie the Yorkie is "a massive part of the family" says owner Matthew Brown of Eccleshill. "Here's a photo of the old man chilling."
Bailey the St Bernard is a "gentle giant" says owner Victoria Milner. "He constantly puts a smile on your face or drools as he shakes his head. We bought Bailey after we lost our family dog and he helped us to overcome a difficult time. He is is simply the best.
"Bailey believes we are his servants and if he would like a drink he turns his bowl over and taps it with his paw to make a loud noise until we fill his bowl. Bailey can drool on all the fixtures and fittings in the house without even trying."
