POLICE stopped a disqualified driver who decided it was a good idea to collect their takeaway rather than have it delivered.
PC Claire Gray, a Roads Policing Officer with West Yorkshire Police, posted on Twitter about the incident on Tuesday night.
She was out on patrol in the Scholes area when she pulled over a silver Hyundai IX35.
The driver had been on their way to pick up food from a takeaway.
But it turned out they were disqualified from driving and also uninsured.
PC Gray reported the driver and seized the car, as a result.
The officer said on Twitter: "Probably best to get your takeaway delivered rather than going to pick it up when you are disqualified and have no insurance.
"Driver reported and vehicle seized by Gray."
