A MAN was arrested after a police pursuit in the Undercliffe area of Bradford in the early hours of this morning.
A spokesperson for the West Yorkshire Police said: "At 3.33am today, a vehicle failed to stop for police in Undercliffe Old Road, Bradford.
"It was pursued for a short time until it was stopped in Avenham Way.
A 30-year-old man was detained and arrested on suspicion of being over the prescribed limit for alcohol.
"He was taken into custody and enquiries are continuing."
A resident who heard a "commotion and sirens" said several police cars were called to the scene.
The resident said the police pursuit involved a silver car which came to a stop at the bottom of a greenway near a footpath.
