A PUB is taking Christmas bookings in August and more than 70 people have already secured their place for the big day.
The Stone Trough, in Rawdon, posted on its Facebook page late on Monday to announce it was already getting into the festive spirit.
The pub has opened its Christmas bookings, despite it still being summer and four months away, as well as releasing its menus for the December festive period.
The post contained some Santa and Christmas tree emojis and said: "Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the…wait a minute. Isn’t it too early too mention Christmas. HoHo no it isn’t.
"Our Christmas menus are now out and bookings are now being taken, simply pop in or give us call for further details.
"Let’s make up for lost time and make this festive period an amazing one."
Such an early commitment to Christmas caused a stir on social media.
One person responded to the post with: "Too early mate".
But they were quickly proved wrong.
The Stone Trough replied to say it has already had more than 70 people book in for Christmas Day.
