Sajida Ema and Atyab Mohammed were the academy’s highest achieving students
A SCHOOL pupil has spoke of his pride at "emerging on the bright side" of a tumultuous year-and-a-half.
Atyab Mohammed was one of the highest achievers on GCSE Results Day at Oasis Academy Lister Park.
He secured straight 9s in all his subjects, alongside fellow student Sajida Ema (both pictured).
Atyab said: “It’s been a culmination of years of hard work and effort. I am so proud of myself and my peers for making it through the adversity and emerging on the bright side."
Both Atyab and Sajida will go on to study A-Levels at sixth form colleges in Bradford.
Meanwhile Nahyaab Hussain achieved top grades in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and History, while Shaheer Khan got 8s in all three sciences and Maths.
