DESPITE ignoring fixed penality fines of £17,000 and wasting countless hours of police and council time Sinead Quinn now faces a much smaller fine.
During today's hearing magistrates were told to consider the profits Miss Quinn made while illegally trading and advised they could impose an unlimited fine.
But despite the gravity of the offences and her apparent disregard for the law they opted for a much smaller fine of just £6,000.
This effectively means Ms Quinn escapes the £17,000 in fixed penalties because the court fine supercedes anything else.
She was also ordered to pay Kirklees Council's costs of £2,246 and a £190 surcharge.
She has 28 days to pay today’s fines and costs.
