PEOPLE across Bradford and West Yorkshire reported hearing a fighter jet storm across the skies this afternoon.
Leeds Bradford Airport (LBA) confirmed Air Traffic Control had temporarily lost contact with a light aircraft, so the RAF was scrambled to assist.
In a statement, a spokesperson said: "As per standard procedure, it was escorted by the RAF and guided to LBA.
"The aircraft has since safely landed and the incident closed down without any further action being taken. We have nothing more to add.'
People took to Facebook to discuss the sightings, and confirmed that it had been spotted over Pudsey, Heckmondwike and Farnley.
