A VEHICLE sped past police, disappeared and then was found abandoned.
PC Claire Gray, a Roads Policing Officer with West Yorkshire Police, was out in Birstall in the early hours of this morning when a silver Vauxhall Astra CDTI came past her "at speed".
The officer turned round and the car had disappeared.
She eventually found the vehicle a few minutes later and it had been abandoned.
A check showed the car had no insurance.
PC Gray seized the Vauxhall, as a result.
She said: "This vehicle passed me at speed and as I turned around it disappeared.
"Vehicle located a few minutes later and now seized by Gray.
"No insurance and abandoned."
