BRADFORD’S Deputy Lord Mayor, Councillor Bev Mullaney, will be officially opening the Town Council offices and public toilets in Myrtle Place, in the centre of Bingley tomorrow morning.
The ceremony was taking place at 11am, and the building will then be open to the general public between 11.30am and 12.30pm.
Cllr Mullaney said: “I would like to thank everyone at Bingley Town Council for all their hard work involved in the creation of their Town Council offices and public toilets. I feel privileged to be asked to perform the official opening - I look forward to meeting everyone.”
Bradford Council closed the public toilets in Bingley in 2017 and Bingley Town Council recognised the demand for this facility.
A business case was made to convert the existing public toilet building to provide two accessible toilets and an office space with a meeting area.
Bingley Town Council has recieved a lot of praise for providing this service.
