A FOOTBALL match will take place tonight to raise funds for the family of a Bradford man who died of Covid-19.
Matthew Keenan, from Bierley, was taken ill with Covid-19, was subsequently hospitalised and died last month. He was 34.
His story was publicised by Bradford Royal Infirmary Dr Leanne Cheyne on Twitter; she said he had been sceptical of Covid-19 and was unvaccinated, and if he could have turned back time he would have.
A football match will take place at Campion AFC’s ground tonight to raise funds for the family of the father-of-three.
The clash will see Keenans XI take on a side from Supporting Charities FC.

The match will kick-off at 7pm tonight at Campion’s ground at Scotchman’s Road, Heaton. Donations can be made upon entry to the ground.

Meanwhile, a GoFundMe campaign set up to support Mr Keenan’s three children has seen its initial £1,000 fundraising target smashed by supporters.
The current total stands at more than £2,700 raised already.
