PLANS to construct road humps near a new school in Bradford have been submitted to Bradford Council.

The three blacktop cushion humps, on Syedna Way, off Ingleby Road will be sited near Eden Boys’ Leadership Academy.

They will sited 18m west from its junction with Rosse Street, 70m west from its junction with Rosse Street and; 150m west from its junction with Rosse Street. Each hump will be 1.9m wide, 1.9m long and 75mm high.

Waterworks on or near Upper Woodlands Road, Bradford means that no traffic shall travel the length of Upper Woodlands Road from its junction with Whitby Terrace to a point outside number 136 Upper Woodlands Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the proposed traffic order will be available via Upper Woodlands Road (the unaffected section), Durham Terrace, Whitby Road, Whitby Terrace and vice versa.

The proposed Order will come into effect from 8am hours on Monday August 9 until 6pm hours on Friday August 13.

Gas works on or near Beechwood Avenue, Wibsey, has necessitated the closure to traffic of Beechwood Avenue from a point outside number 18A Beechwood Avenue to a point outside number 22. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected will be via Beechwood Avenue (the unaffected section), Beechwood Road, Watty Hall Road, St Enochs Road and vice versa. The order is in force until 6pm tomorrow.

Work on overhead power lines on or near Hainworth Shaw Lane and Back Shaw Lane, Keighley, will bring about the temporary closure to traffic of Hainworth Shaw Lane from its junction with Glen Lee Lane to its junction with Back Shaw Lane. It will also result in the closure of Back Shaw Lane from its junction with Hainworth Shaw Lane for approximately 200 metres in a south easterly direction.

Pedestrian access will be maintained. Alternative routes will be via Hainworth Shaw Lane (the unaffected section), Ryecroft Road, Long Lane, Keighley Road, Harden Road, Long Lee Lane, Glen Lee Lane and vice versa.

The order will come into effect at 8am tomorrow and remain in force until 4pm on August 12.
