THREE new "start up" workshop units can be built on a prominent site off Leeds Road after new plans were approved.
An application to build three small units at Leeds Road Business Park, at the junction of the busy commercial street and Thornbury Avenue, were submitted by Jhangir Ahmed earlier this year.
As well as the three units, each of which would have office and toilet space, the proposals would see the existing site refurbished to include new road surfacing and better pedestrian access. 49 parking bays will be created on an area that is currently used as informal parking.

Two units would be built on an existing car showroom site while the third would be on a vacant area that has been fenced off to deter fly tipping.
Approving the development, planning officers said the works will "utilise existing infrastructure and provide employment opportunities."
One condition of the approval is that the highway works will need to be completed before the units are occupied.
