AN inquest into the death of a 25-year-old Keighley man who died in a crash has been opened.
The brief hearing, held at Bradford Coroners' Court heard Kyle Goater, a mechanical engineer at Ilkley-based Olicana Products Ltd, was travelling towards Menston from Ilkley on Moor Road on July 20 when his car collided with two other vehicles, a black BMW saloon and an orange Volkswagen Transporter.
Mr Goater's vehicle, a black MG ZS, was substantially damaged.
The opening heard Mr Goater was initially talking and reacting, but then began to complain of chest pains and his breathing became shallow.
CPR was carried out, but Mr Goater sadly passed away.
An inquest date was fixed for October.
Emotional tributes were paid following Mr Goater's death, with floral tributes also left at the scene of the crash.
His father, Andrew Goater, said: "As parents of Kyle we are totally overwhelmed with the response from all the people who knew him.
"He had developed into a very talented young man with a prosperous career ahead of him from a cheeky boy at school.
"Having just become independent buying his own house gave him the space and time to do his own thing, which was developing his home and cars.
"We are heartbroken. Love you Kyle and will never be forgotten."
Anyone who witnessed the collision or who was in the area at this time and has any dashcam footage or further information, is asked to contact the Major Collision Enquiry Team via 101, quoting log number 1349 of July 20.
