A BRADFORD diver and her partner sadly fell well short of medalling in the synchronised 10 metres platform final earlier this morning.
Team GB duo Eden Cheng, 18, and Lois Toulson, 21, of Cleckheaton, finished seventh out of eight in the event.
The pair scored 289.26 at the Tokyo Aquatics Arena as dominant China took the gold medal. The USA claimed silver with Mexico third.
Cheng and Toulson could not repeat the success of Tom Daley and Matty Lee who won gold in the men's event on Monday.
Toulson is back in action in the 10m platform individual on August 4 and 5. The heats on August 4 begin at 7am, with the semi-final on August 5 at 2am, and final at 7am.
Lois will have to be on the top of her game to claim a medal with several divers fancied ahead of her.
