BRADFORD Council has announced the following temporary road closures in the district.
* Chat Hill Road in Thornton, for gas works to be carried out.
The order will affect the length of Chat Hill Road from a point outside No 36 to a point outside Chat Hill Farm.
Alternative routes for traffic will be available via Chat Hill Road (unaffected section), Thornton Road, Cemetery Road, Clayton Road, Bradford Road, Town End Road, Low Lane and vice versa.
The proposed order will come into effect from 9am until 3pm each day from August 2-8.
* Beechwood Avenue, Wibsey, for gas works to be carried out.
The order will affect the length of Beechwood Avenue from a point outside No 18A Beechwood Avenue to a point outside No 22.
Alternative routes for traffic will be available via Beechwood Avenue (unaffected section), Beechwood Road, Watty Hall Road, St Enochs Road and vice versa.
The proposed order will come into effect at 8am on August 5 and will remain in force until 6pm on August 11.
* Ellerton Street and Thornbury Road, Bradford, for gas works to be carried out.
The order will affect Ellerton Street from its junction with Killinghall Road for approximately 10 metres in a westerly direction and
Thornbury Road from its junction with Killinghall Road for approximately 10 metres in an easterly direction.
Alternative routes for traffic will be available as follows: Ellerton Street via Ellerton Street (unaffected section), Chelmsford Road, Hipswell Street, Barkerend Road, Killinghall Road and vice versa.
Thornbury Road via Thornbury Road (unaffected section), Leeds Road, Killinghall Road and vice versa.
The order comes into operation at 8am on Monday July 26 and remains in force until 6pm hours on August 13.
* Weetwood Road and Rosse Street, Bradford, for road constructions works to be carried out.
Weetwood Road will be closed from its junction with Thornton Road for approximately 10 metres in a northerly direction.
Alternative routes for traffic will be available via Thornton Road, Whetley Lane, Walker Drive, Weetwood Road (unaffected section) and vice versa.
There will be one way traffic flow on Rosse Street from its junction with Thornton Road to its junction with Syedna Way.
Alternative routes for traffic affected will be available via Syedna Way, Ingleby Road and Thornton Road.
The proposed orders will come into effect at 8am hours on August 2 and remain in force until 11:59pm on August 27.
* Heights Lane, Eldwick, for telecommunications works to be carried out. The order will affect the length of Heights Lane from a point outside No 18A to a point outside No 22.
Alternative routes for traffic will be available via Heights Lane (unaffected section), Walsh Lane, Lady Lane, Parkside, Otley Road and vice versa.
The order lasts from 9.30am until 3.30pm each day on August 4 and 5.
