A MAN was left with a stab wound after he was assaulted following an altercation with several other males in Bradford.
Yesterday at 10.35pm police were called to reports of an altercation on Cottam Terrace, Shearbridge.
A 23-year-old male suffered a stab wound to his leg and was taken to hospital for treatment.
The injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
Locals say an ambulance was called but didn’t arrive, so family and friends took the injured person by car to hospital.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "At 10.35pm yesterday police were called to reports of an altercation on Cottam Terrace, Bradford.
"It was reported that a number of males were involved in an altercation and one male had been assaulted.
"A 23-year-old male suffered a stab wound to his leg and was taken to hospital for treatment.
"The injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of the incident.
"Anyone with information that may assist with enquiries is asked to contact police on 101 quoting log 2035 of 21/7."
