HERE is the latest breakdown – area by area – of the Covid-19 vaccination figures across the Bradford district.
The latest figures, dated to July 19, show that as a whole in Bradford 71.6 per cent of people have had at least their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, while 56 per cent of the adult population is fully vaccinated.
The vaccine is open to all adults to receive, with anyone who is yet to get their jab, or come back for their second dose, urged to come forward and get vaccinated.
Being vaccinated offers the best protection against catching Covid-19, suffering serious illness or death from the virus, and also reduces the risk of passing on the virus to others.
While Covid cases have risen exponentially in the past few weeks, the number of hospitalisations and deaths has remained low, proving the link between being vaccinated and not suffering serious illness from the jab.
And moving forward being vaccinated is going to be essential for many activities – including going abroad and going to nightclubs and other venues where people gather in large groups.
Some areas have seen high vaccination figures whereas in some the figure is staying much lower than average, showing there is still a lot of work to do to get people in these areas protected against Covid.
