A BRADFORD man has been jailed for a number of charges including stealing chocolate from a hospital shop.
Amer Ali, 40, of Toller Lane, was jailed for 10 weeks for stealing £90 of chocolate from the Marks & Spencer shop at Bradford Royal Infirmary on June 9, 2021.
He was also ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £95.
These offence were deemed so serious because the offences was committed during the operational period of a suspended sentence.
Ali was jailed for 10 weeks, to run concurrently, for stealing £100 worth of chocolate from the same shop on June 21, 2021.
He was committed to prison for 10 weeks, to run concurrently, for making off without paying for petrol, worth £36.86, at Young Street, Bradford, on April 1, 2021.
He was jailed for four weeks, to run concurrently, for obstructing/resisting a constable in execution of duty on July 1, 2021.
Ali was jailed for 10 weeks, to run concurrently, for stealing £81 worth of chocolates from Chellow Heights petrol station, Haworth Road, Bradford, on February 8, 2021.
He was committed to prison for 10 weeks, to run concurrently, for the attempted theft of £55.80 worth of chocolates from Leaventhorpe service station, Thornton Road, Bradford, on June 21, 2021.
A number of his original offences for theft, which were suspended at a hearing on January 19, were activated.
Ali was sentenced at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates' Court at a hearing on July 10, 2021.
