A LOCAL pub has been named as the best pub or bar in West Yorkshire by a national awards body.
The Shibden Mill Inn, in Blake Hill near Northowram, has taken home the top prize at this year's National Pub and Bar Awards as the best venue in West Yorkshire.
The four-star hotel, on the banks of Shibden Brook and near to the infamous Shibden Wall cycling climb, is a 17th Century inn, and alongside its acclaimed food and drinks offering boasts 11 unique bedrooms.
Its accommodation is rated five-stars by the AA, and it also has two AA rosettes for its dining, making it stand out as one of the best locations for food in West Yorkshire.
It has mouth-watering lunch, a la carte, taster, Sunday lunch and breakfast menus, served alongside an extensive range of real ales, wines and spirits.
