A SCHOOL alert was sent out at the end of last week after a primary pupil reported being chased by a man from a van.
The warning went out to schools in the Guiseley area last Thursday after a 11-year-old boy reported to his school that he had been approached by a white van with three men inside.
The pupil said that he was walking to his school along Park Road at around 8.45am when the van stopped him.
One of the men then got out of the vehicle, shouted at the boy and chased after him, according to the report.
The boy ran off from the man, who continued to pursue him until the pupil got near parents and other students at his school.
The school reported the incident to Children's Services at 11.15am, according to the alert.
West Yorkshire Police was also called.
A spokesperson for the force said: "At 10.50am on Thursday (July 15) police received a report of an 11-year-old boy being approached in Park Road, Guiseley, at about 8.45am by a white van containing three men.
"He reported that one of the men got out and chased him.
"The incident has been recorded as suspicious circumstances and the local neighbourhood policing team has been made aware."
