POLICE have recovered around £100,000 in cash, as well as 200kg of suspected cannabis resin, in a drugs and money laundering investigation in West Yorkshire and Greater Manchester.
Officers from the Yorkshire and the Humber Regional Organised Crime Unit (ROCU), supported by colleagues from Greater Manchester Police, conducted a series of search warrants, which also resulted in five men being arrested for drug trafficking and money laundering offences.
The cash was recovered from an address on Southway, Guiseley, while the cannabis was recovered from a vehicle on Stamford Drive, Stalybridge, Greater Manchester.
Two further addresses in Manchester were searched as part of the operation.
Four of the five arrested men were released under investigation, while Antonio Stanley, 55-years-old and of Stamford Drive, appeared before magistrates in Manchester on Thursday, charged with drug offences, and was bailed.
