TWO men were arrested by police in Bradford yesterday, for theft and possession with intent to supply a Class B drug.

Officers from the Bradford West Neighbourhood Policing Team arrested a man in Clayton following a "number of reports" of thefts in the area taking place in the early hours of the morning.

The man had stolen from residential properties and outbuildings and, after being interviewed by officers, remains under investigation at this time.

Officers also attended an address in Lower Grange where they arrested a man who was suspected to be involved in the theft of catalytic converters from cars.

During the arrest, officers also found a quantity of Class B drugs, and the man was further arrested for possession of a Class B drug with intent to supply.

He also remains under investigation.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police Bradford West said: "Catalytic converter theft is an increasingly common offence type, if you see anything suspicious, i.e. cars jacked up at unusual times of the day or in unusual locations, please report it to the police immediately.

"If you require advice about securing your vehicle please, contact your local Neighbourhood Policing Team, who will be happy to advise."
