POLICE have released an image of a man they want to speak with after a charity box was stolen in Huddersfield.
The Huddersfield Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) would like to speak with anyone who recognises the man pictured, following the theft from The Look shop, King Street on 22 June.
The box contained a small amount of cash, which was being collected for a dogs charity.
Inspector Graham Dyson, of the Huddersfield NPT, said: “The theft of money being collected for a good cause will quite rightly upset many residents, and I am appealing for information regarding this crime.
“We have now issued an image of a man we want to speak with in connection with the theft, and I would ask anyone who recognises this man or who has information about the theft to contact us.
“Information can be given to the Huddersfield NPT on 101, referencing police crime number 13210338600.
“It can also be given online at www.westyorkshire.police.uk/101livechat or anonymously to the independent Crimestoppers charity, on 0800 555 111.
