A TRACTOR driver was caught "chatting away on his phone" right in front of a police car.
PC Claire Gray - a Roads Policing Officer with West Yorkshire Police - spotted the vehicle in Bradford yesterday.
The man behind the wheel was speaking to someone on his mobile phone while driving the large vehicle.
But he only noticed his error when police sirens began blaring.
PC Gray pulled over the digger and reported the driver for his offence.
She said: "Not my typical vehicle to stop.
"Driver of this was chatting away on his phone in front of me.
"He finally noticed me when it was too late and the sirens caught his attention.
"Driver reported."
