A BRI junior doctor and former Miss England finalist is getting behind her country this weekend.
In April, Saskia Faugel reached her final by receiving a record-breaking 27,000 votes, the most any one person had received since the contest went digital and launched its app.
England's football team have enjoyed similar success by conceding no goals in open play on their route to the Euro 2020 last two.
Although the Italians can also boast about their own strengths at the back, letting in only three goals, the Three Lions enter tomorrow's match as favourites.
Saskia has enjoyed watching the games with her family and fellow NHS colleagues.
She feels history can be made this weekend with Gareth Southgate's men capturing a trophy which has eluded the nation for so many years.
Saskia said: "I love how football has brought the whole country together.
"Regardless of teams usually supported, we're all from England and cheering the team on.
"It's so nice after almost two years of a pandemic to have a sense of normality again, and something to look forward to.
"So, come on England we can do this! You're doing a great job guys! It's our year.
"I watched it with my whole family, even my grandma who although has dementia, can still remember England winning in 1966, along with my dad. Three generations in my house all watching history together.
"I predict a 2-1 win for us today."
