WEST Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service has issued a reminder after it was called to a potentially serious incident in the Yorkshire Moors.
Crews were scrambled into the Pennines last night after a call about a fire in the open, which luckily turned out to be a false alarm.
The incident, near Slaithwaite, has been hit by moorland fires recently which devastate wildlife and take an age to put out.
Thankfully, this incident was actually a horror film set, using a machine to create theatrical smoke to create a spooky atmosphere.
The fire service said: “Remember that you can inform us about things like this so that we can respond appropriately.”
Advance notice of such filming would save the service precious time and money.
