BRADFORD Council has announced orders for the following road closures in the district:
* Back Birch Lane, West Bowling, for gas works to be carried out. The order affects the length of Back Birch Lane from its junction with Birch Lane, at the side of No 154, to a point at the rear of No 196.
Alternative routes for traffic will be available via Birch Lane, Woodroyd Terrace and vice versa.
The proposed order will come into effect at 8am hours on July 5 and remain in force until 6pm on August 13.
* Micklethwaite Lane, Bingley, for electrical works to be carried out. The order affects the length of Micklethwaite Lane from its junction with Greenhill Drive to a point outside No 8 Micklethwaite Lane.
Alternative routes for traffic will be available via Micklethwaite Lane (unaffected section), Sty Lane, Greenhill Lane, Walsh Lane, Heights Lane, Otley Road, Carr Lane and vice versa.
The proposed order will come into effect at 8am on July 5 and remain in force until 6pm on July 9.
* Ashfield Avenue in Frizinghall, for telecommunications works to be carried out. The order will affect Ashfield Avenue from its junction with Bradford Road to its junction with Bradford Road Backs.
Alternative routes will be via Ashfield Avenue (unaffected section), Ashfield Drive, Redburn Road, Bradford Road and vice versa. The order comes into operation at 8am on June 29 and remains in force until 6pm on July 2.
* Back High Street, Thornton, for gas works to be carried out. The order affects the length of Back High Street from its junction with High Street to a point outside no 17 Back High Street.
No alternative routes for vehicular traffic will be available, but pedestrian access will be maintained.
The order comes into operation at 8am on June 28 and remains in force until 6pm on July 16.
* Hainsworth Road, Silsden, for electrical works to be carried out. The order affects the length of Hainsworth Road from its junction with The Mallards to its junction with St Johns Street. No pedestrian access will be available and there will be no alternative routes for traffic.
The proposed order will come into effect at 8am on July 2 and remain in force until 6pm on July 26.
* Parklands and Southway, Ben Rhydding, for gas works to be carried out. The order affect the lengths of Southway from its junction with Boiling Road to a point at the side of 74 Boiling Road and Parklands from its junction with Boiling Road to a point outside No 51 Parklands.
Alternative routes are Southway via Southway (unaffected section), Boiling Road and vice versa Parklands via Parklands (unaffected section), Boiling Road and vice versa. The proposed order will come into effect at 8am on July 8 and remain in force until 6pm on August 3.
* Westgate, Shipley, for telecommunications works to be carried out. The order affects the length of Westgate from its junction with Rosse Street to its junction with Commercial Street.
Alternative routes for traffic will be available via Westgate (unaffected section), Kirkgate, Otley Road, Commercial Street.
The proposed order will come into effect at 9.30am until 3.30pm.
* Weetwood Road, Bradford, for water works to be carried out. The order will affect the length of Weetwood Road from its junction with Thornton Road to its junction with Back Blythe Avenue.
Alternative routes will be available via Weetwood Road (unaffected section), Walker Drive, Whetley Lane, Thornton Road and vice versa. The order comes into operation at 7pm-9.30pm on June 30.
