BRADFORD Council is seeking a possession order to compel travellers to leave a playing field next to Eccleshill Community Hospital, which has been occupied since early June.
A spokesperson for Bradford Council said: “The council is asking the courts for a possession order for the site and will restore it to its original condition soon after the travellers have left.”
Cllr Brendan Stubbs (Lib Dem, Eccleshill) anticipates the travellers will be leaving soon, saying: "They should be gone in a week's time.
"We've had a few complaints. Some residents got in touch when they first arrived and there are some ongoing concerns. When they've gone, the council will put the land back to the way it was before they arrived."
