TWO police officers suffered serious injuries in a crash on Lees Lane at Haworth in the early hours of this morning.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "At approximately 3.36am this morning, a marked police car was travelling along Lees Lane, Haworth.
"A vehicle that was believed to be leaving the area, collided with the police car.
"Two officers in the vehicle suffered significant injuries, not believed to be life threatening and were taken to hospital for treatment.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
In a tweet this morning by the West Yorkshire Police Roads Policing Unit it was said:
"We currently are dealing with an incident and have road closures at Main Street, Stanbury and Oldfield Lane, Oldfield. Please avoid the area if possible and seek alternative routes."
It is understood that Main Street, Stanbury, is still closed.
