A CYCLIST has suffered a head injury after a crash on a city centre road near a school this morning.
West Yorkshire Police was called to a road traffic collision on Ripley Street, at its junction with Manchester Road (A641), near Dixons City Academy, at 8.41am today.
The crash involved a car and a pedal bike.
A spokesperson for the force said the male cyclist suffered a head injury, but could not outline whether the individual was taken to hospital or not.
Ripley Street was partially blocked for much of the morning, as a result of the crash.
This caused heavy traffic and also impacted several bus services, as the Guideway was blocked heading towards Bradford by Ripley Street.
This included First West Yorkshire's 645, 681, 686, 687 and X63 services.
These were all operating via the main carriageway towards Bradford.
