A GREEN-fingered man from Thorpe Edge has got into the spirit of this year's UEFA European Championship by painting a giant England flag on his lawn.
Kyle Mackender outlined the flag with his strimmer and used five cans of spray paint to the complete the design which is displayed in his front garden on Farmstead Road.
"It's a good way to get into the spirit of the Euros," said Kyle. "With restrictions starting to get lifted, we needed this tournament. It's not just for people who love football, but for everybody.
"It's also good for a bit of banter and a laugh. I'll get people walking by saying 'Look at that lunatic'. I had a great bit of satisfaction looking at it afterwards."
Last year Kyle did a similar thing when he stencilled a Thank You NHS message on his lawn to recognise the work of NHS staff.
