TWO Bradford tradesmen have been shortlisted for Toolstation’s Unsung Heroes Awards
Hayden Lamb, a carpenter, and Paul Davis, a plumber, both from Bradford, have been shortlisted from more than 130 entries.
Toolstation launched a competition in April to locate the nation’s unsung heroes and give tradespeople back the ‘credit’ they deserve.
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, tradespeople continued to provide essential services and kept many safe.
Hayden was on call for the elderly and vulnerable when they had home emergencies, repairing household objects when they could not get replacements due to the pandemic, and keeping other safe through social distancing measures.
Paul helped friends, family and neighbours with multiple tasks when they were shielding at home. This included getting groceries, fixing household objects and installing a new bathroom for a elderly couple. He also did not charge a fee for those who could not afford it during the tough times.
