A BINGLEY gymnastics instructor has been nominated for a UK coaching award.
UK Coaching has opened the public vote for its UK Coaching Hero Awards, which recognise coaches who inspired the nation to keep moving during the coronavirus lockdowns.
From nearly 500 nominations, 75 coaches, including Bingley’s Georgina Mitchell, have been shortlisted as finalists.
The person who nominated Georgina wrote: “Georgina was incredible during lockdown. She took our gymnastics equipment home and set up a YouTube Chanel initially for our gymnasts, but then for other children to join. The feedback was amazing, for all of the children who missed their classes, they got to do it from home.”
