SOME schools close to the scene of a major Bradford warehouse fire will be closed today.
Firefighters were called to the scene, on Thorncliffe Road, near Valley Parade, at around half past midnight.
They remain at the scene this morning. Manningham Lane has now re-opened, but Bradford Council say Thorncliffe Road, Burlington Street, Cliffe Terrace and Clifton Street are likely to remain closed for most of the day.
One In a Million Free School will be closed today.
A statement on Bradford Council's emergency school closures alert system says: "Due to reports of a fire in the local area and road closures on the surrounding streets, in order to meet health and safety needs.
"One In a Million Free School building will be closed Monday 7th June to students.
"OIAMFS would request that families follow local guidance to remain safe.
"Students should continue to access their online learning provision wherever possible."
Al Mumin Nursery, Primary & Secondary will also be closed, as will Midland Road Nursery School.
