POLICE were taking two calls every minute in an extremely busy shift last night.
From 9.30pm to 1.30am, West Yorkshire Police Contact Management Centre received over 550 999 calls.
It is a continuation of very high demand on the shift.
The night before from 9.15pm to 10.45pm, 165 999 calls were made, almost the same ratio as Saturday's busy period.
Weekend + nice weather + eased restrictions = a very long and busy night for us. Please drink responsibly and only ring 999 for an on-going life or death emergency. #thinkB4youcall
