THE cause of a major fire that gutted a Bradford mill has been deemed to be "accidental".

A ferocious blaze took hold in a large, three-story warehouse just off Legrams Lane at around 2.45am on Wednesday, May 19.

Crews from multiple fire stations rushed to the scene, with 18 fire engines, four aerial appliances and more than 100 firefighters and specialist officers tackling the flames at its height.

The blaze caused significant damage to all three floors and the building itself, but teams at the scene were praised for managing to stop the fire spreading to the surrounding properties and businesses.

A number of roads surrounding the building had to be closed during the efforts, with Woodhead Road still remaining shut three days after the fire started.
