A PRIVATE taxi was destroyed in a fire that is suspected to have been ignited deliberately.
West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service (WYFRS) was called to reports of a Nissan Prima that was burning off Thwaites Brow Road, Keighley, at around 5.30am today.
A crew from Keighley Fire Station rushed to the scene and used breathing apparatus and a hose reel to extinguish the blaze.
Firefighters were there for an hour and once the fire was out, it was clear the car - a six seater - was a "total loss".
It is suspected the blaze was started on purpose and police have been informed.
