POLICE chased and arrested a man who dumped the stolen car he was driving to try escape.
Officers from West Yorkshire Police's Bradford West Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) and a Special Constable were on a late shift on Sunday when they asked a blue Ford car to pull over.
The driver failed to stop and then abandoned the vehicle.
A short foot chase then ensued, before officers caught up with the suspect.
Police arrested the man, as it turned out the vehicle he was driving was stolen a few weeks ago.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "This vehicle failed to stop for officers.
"After a short foot chase, a male was detained and arrested as the vehicle was previously stolen a few weeks ago.
"Great result".
