POLICE are appealing for information after a student was reported as missing from Huddersfield, having not been seen at his university or accommodation for around four weeks.
Kirklees District CID would like to speak to anyone who has seen or has information about Daniel Astin, who is 31.
Mr Astin is from Burnley, but is studying at the University of Huddersfield.
Officers are concerned for his welfare, and say he was reported as missing on Friday.
He is described as white, around 5ft 10ins tall, heavily built and with facial hair and a shaved head.
A/DI Simon Reddington, of Kirklees CID, said: “We do have growing concerns for Daniel’s welfare and have been carrying out a number of enquiries in Huddersfield and in Burnley to locate him.
“I would ask Daniel, or anyone who may have seen him in recent days, to contact us and let us know he is ok.
“Anyone who has information about Daniel is asked to contact Kirklees CID on 101, referencing police log 883 of May 21.
“Information can also be given online at www.westyorkshire.police.uk/101livechat”
