Advertising A-boards could be confiscated in a major crackdown on illegal signs which clutter the streets.
Businesses and event organisers are being warned to remove A-boards and other signs that constitute an obstruction.
Offenders will be given the chance to shift them but if they fail to act, Craven Council officers will remove them and owners will have to pay £25 for their return. The crackdown is a joint initiative by Craven Council and North Yorkshire County Council.
