ONE person was taken to hospital following a house fire at Haworth last night.
An investigation has been launched into the cause of the blaze, which extensively damaged the property in Mill Hey.
Firefighters were called to the incident shortly before 6.30pm.
When they arrived at the scene, smoke was billowing from the roof.
Crews from Keighley, Bingley, Illingworth and Bradford – plus an aerial appliance from Halifax – attended.
The blaze had started in the roof space.
Six breathing-apparatus sets were worn by firefighters, who tackled the blaze using three hose reel jets and a large water jet.
Yorkshire Ambulance Service – which sent two ambulances and a clinical supervisor to the scene – says one person was taken to Airedale Hospital, but there are no details of the person's injuries.
