THE owner of a popular children's soft play area has shared her joy at reopening yesterday after spending months shut.
Little Daisys children's soft play area, in Shipley, flung open its doors again for the first time in months yesterday, and couldn't wait to welcome families back to play.
The play area was fully booked with excited toddlers and happy parents and is packed out all week.
Faye Carver, owner of Little Daisys, said it was emotional seeing customers again.
She said: "It went really well, it was wonderful and everyone was chuffed to bits to come back and we are too.
"Every session was fully booked all day and we are pretty much booked out for most of the week, there are a couple of spaces free later this week.
"Just seeing everybody again has been wonderful; with our place being a bit smaller we really get to know our customers who often come multiple times a week and we have really missed them and seeing their children grow up.
"We had people welling up when they came back, and the children have absolutely loved playing again.
"I really feel for parents with little ones during lockdown, it must be so tough, so it's great to provide a space for people to come back to again."
Children's soft play areas are one of the many indoor entertainment venues which were able to reopen on Monday as part of step three of the roadmap out of lockdown, along with other venues such as cinemas, bingo halls and more.
