THESE are the scenes in Haworth this afternoon as filming for the sequel to much-loved children's film The Railway Children gets underway.
It is just over 50 years since the original film hit the box office and cameras are rolling once again in the Worth Valley.
The Railway Children Return - starring Jenny Agutter, Sheridan Smith and Tom Courtenay - will see locations from the original film once again on the big screen, with the iconic Keighley & Worth Valley Railway playing a key backdrop.
Inspired by the original 1970s film, other notable locations will include Oakworth Station and The Bronte Parsonage.
Large screens have today been put up at the top of the village, while pictures show part of the famous village transformed into an olde-worlde street scene - including clothing store The Souk, which has now become 'Oakworth Village Butchers'.
Shooting began earlier this week, and the final film is set for release in April 2022.
"Inspired by one of the most beloved British family films of all time, The Railway Children Return is an enchanting adventure for a new generation bringing a contemporary sensibility to a classic story and combining British cast with stunning locations," the film is described.
"The Railway Children Return will take audiences on an exciting and heart-warming journey, in which a group of children are evacuated to a Yorkshire village during World War 2, where they encounter a young soldier, who like them, is far away from home…"
