LAST night Bradford was hit by a huge thunderstorm, pelting the district in heavy rain as deep thunder rumbled through the clouds and dramatic lightning lit up the sky.
Huge forks of lightning could be seen striking through the sky last night as the storm hit, of a scale not seen in the district for some time.
Deep, rumbling thunder followed bolts of lightning shooting from the clouds, weather in stark contrast to this time last year when the district was bathed in sun and high temperatures.
Members of the Telegraph & Argus Camera Club were at their windows armed with their equipment when the weather hit, and captured these dramatic shots.
Camera Club member Daz Allon was watching the storm from his Eccleshill home when he captured these brilliant shots.
Huge bolts wove their way through the clouds as sheet lightning lit up the skies, before striking the ground.
Members also snapped the huge banks of heavy grey clouds that rolled into the district last night, forboding the storm that was to come.
