NINE people from Bradford have been fined or given curfews for stealing items from Asda supermarkets.
The items stolen include toys, alcohol and meat and all of the individuals have gone before the courts within the last six months.
- Callum Docherty, 18, of Grisedale Close, Bradford, was given a community order with a 21-day curfew requirement for stealing Jack Daniels spirits worth a total of £447 from Asda, Manor Lane in Shipley on September 15, 2020.
- Devon Hendy, 23, of Halton Place, Bradford, was given a community order with a 28-day curfew requirement for stealing Jack Daniels spirits worth a total of £447 from Asda, Manor Lane in Shipley on September 15, 2020.
- Simon Chester, 51, of Glenwood Avenue, Baildon, was ordered to pay £85 costs, conditional discharge for 12 months and victim surcharge of £22 for stealing chocolate worth £55 from Asda, Manor Lane, Shipley, on August 4, 2020.
- Tomasz Jacak, 50, of Spring Gardens, Bradford, was handed a six-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge for stealing a one litre bottle of Smirnoff Vodka worth £16 from Asda in Bradford on March 31, 2018.
- Karl Smith, 35, of Rayleigh Street, Bradford, was given a six-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a £22 victim surcharge for stealing toys worth £244 from Asda in Dewsbury on September 26, 2020.
- Lee Graham, 38, of Otley Road, Shipley, was given a community order with a four-week daily curfew and ordered to pay £78 compensation for stealing chocolate bars worth a total of £78 from Asda in Shipley on May 3, 2021.
- Iesha Wilson, 22, of Knutsford Grove, Bradford, was given a community order with an eight-week daily curfew for stealing a Roku firestick from Asda at Monks Cross Shopping Park on February 5, 2020.
- Paul Barraclough, 36, of Wycliffe Gardens, Shipley, was ordered to pay £85 costs and handed a community order for stealing two Oral B toothbrushes worth £70 from Asda in Dewsbury on June 17, 2020.
- Peter Settle, 34, Walker Avenue, Bradford, was given a drug rehabilitation requirement and ordered to pay £80 compensation for stealing half a leg of lamb and three joints of beef worth £80 from Asda in Batley on September 3, 2020.
