A NUMBER of youths were stopped on the Holme Wood estate on Friday as part of a Trojan bus operation targeting anti-social and nuisance behaviour.
Officers from the Bradford East Neighbourhood Policing Team posted on Facebook: "On the evening of Friday, April 23, officers from Bradford South Neighbourhood Policing Team, Bradford Special Constabulary and Bradford ASB Team deployed in partnership with First Bus as part of Operation Trojan Bus to tackle anti-social behaviour, criminal damage and nuisance behaviour in the Holme Wood estate.
"A successful operation saw a number of youths stopped. All will be dealt with appropriately through anti-social behaviour partnership working. Thankfully, on the evening no damage was caused to buses or cars."
They also said: "Further results included the recovery of a stolen motor bike, the seizure of a car for no license and no insurance and the driver reported to court, and intelligence gathered in relation to anti-social behaviour and criminal activity to allow officers to take further action.
"Police would like to thank the community for their support, a number of warm messages were received last night from residents. All the information which the community provide the police and other agencies allows us to conduct successful operations.
"Bradford South Neighbourhood Policing Team are committed to tackling anti-social behaviour and crime in order to improve the quality of lives for the residents of Holme Wood and will deal with offenders robustly and bring those to justice who aim to create unrest in the community."
