Adrenaline junkies got more than they bargained for when they boarded the UK's tallest rollercoaster this afternoon.
Riders on The Big One at Blackpool Pleasure Beach, which is more than 200ft tall, were forced to climb down from the ride after it broke down near the top on Sunday afternoon.
Staff from the Pleasure Beach had to scale the ride before guiding riders to safety, reports Lancashire Live.
Nobody is believed to have been injured.
The £12m ride opened in 1994, when it was the tallest and steepest ride in the world. At a whopping 213ft tall it remains the UK's highest ride.
