A package of improvements at Crossflatts recreation ground is planned for the New Year.
The work will include upgrades to the children's play area, youth shelter and fitness stations.
The footpath, seats and picnic area will be spruced up, along with environmental improvements.
Detailed plans are currently being drawn up by Bradford Council, following consultation with residents.
Representatives from Crossflatts Village Society have also been heavily involved in the project.
Part of the funding is coming through section 106, under which housing developers fund community facilities near building projects.
