A NEW bid to install security features at a block of shops plagued by burglaries has been submitted to Bradford Council.
Kirkgate House, on Kirkgate in Shipley, includes five ground floor shop units.
A new planning application seeks permission to install security shutters on all five of these units.
Submitted by Mohammed Ali, the application says shops in the building have suffered burglaries or attempted burglaries in recent years.
It claims these incidents have become more frequent since the Covid 19 Pandemic began.

In one incident last April over £11,000 worth of equipment was stolen from a shop undergoing a refurbishment.
Another unit has been targeted by burglars three times in the past year.
The application says three shops have already installed security shutters, but the application is for the installation of shutters on all five units.
A decision on the application is expected next month.
